Certification

Training to be a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist is empowering and gives you the opportunity to practice a healthy and gratifying therapy which is currently much needed because of our sedentary and technology focused lifestyles. You do not need any prior experience or training, all are welcome!

I. Nuad Bo Rarn Level 1: Foundational Thai Yoga Massage

Prerequisite – Open to All

This Level 1 course teaches you:

  • The background and history of Thai Yoga Massage
  • Basic anatomy and physiology for massage. Indications and contra-indications for massage protocols
  • The proper use of body mechanics to press with hands, thumbs, feet and elbow
  • Stretches and acupressure points in supine position to massage feet, legs, arms, abdomen, head and face
  • Stretches and acupressure points in sitting position to massage back and shoulders

You learn by using the VAK technique (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) which means the focus is on hands-on practice. You work in pairs and practice by giving and receiving massage.

Upon completion you will be able to perform an effective 1h30 Thai Yoga Massage.

II. Nuad Bo Rarn Level 2: Intermediate Thai Yoga Massage

Prerequisite – Level 1 Thai Yoga Massage course

This Level 2 course expends on the technique learnt in level 2 and teaches you:

  • Basic anatomy and physiology for massage. Indications and contra-indications for massage protocols
  • The proper use of body mechanics to press with hands, thumbs, feet, knee and elbow
  • Stretches and acupressure points in prone position to massage feet, legs, head and back, shoulders
  • Stretches and acupressure points in side position to massage feet, legs, back, shoulders, arms and hands
  • Advanced stretches and acupressure points in sitting position to massage back, shoulders, neck, head and face

Upon completion you will be able to perform an effective 2h Thai Yoga Massage.

Workshops

Discover the various Massage techniques that belong to the healing art of Traditional Thai Massage. These 3 hour introductory workshops are your chance to learn while enjoying giving and receiving restorative and relaxing bodywork. Including a short theory and background talk, each workshop will be mainly hands-on practice. You will be taught a sequence and massage techniques that are safe and easy to give at home to your friends and your family.

I. Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage is a complete head to toe bodywork treatment including assisted stretches, acupressure and mindfulness which greatly improves physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

II. Thai Chair Massage

Thai Chair Massage focuses on tension in the back, neck, shoulder and arms using various types of pressure and with the convenience of a chair. Great for the home or office!

III. Thai Abdominal Massage

Thai Abdominal Massage, or “Chi Nei Tsang”, focuses on the abdominal area, also called “the Second Brain”, and uses oil and heated herbal compresses that enhance the immune system, digestion and relaxation.

Private Class

A private class is a one-on-one session specifically designed for you and tailored to your needs, personal health and goals.
If you are a beginner, it is a great way to learn the foundations of Thai Yoga Massage. If you are intermediate or advanced, it is a privileged opportunity to take your practice a step further and work on your personal development. Private classes will improve your technique, increase your motivation, and help you focus on your potential to attain the level you aim for.
